Lucy, My Girl

Yesterday, Lucy and I went shopping for a dress. Tonight we are going to the Nutcracker, just the two of us. She even got her ears piearced for the event. She is my little buddy. I love doing girly things with her. She loves to decorate, go shopping, bake and just hang out with me. She is always telling me how much she loves me. I LOVE HAVING A GIRL!!!

She started preschool this year and I am dreading Kindergarten. I love having her with me all day. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? I am trying hard to spend as much time with her as I can before she is big and grown, but I always tell her, no matter how big she gets, she will always be my little girl.

So I have to take a few lines to talk about my husband. We have been married for 13 years now. They have been 13 totally amazing years. We really have been through so much together: building a business, times of almost poverty, 3 premature babies, a lot of bedrest, schooling, and just raising kids. I have grown up by his side and I wouldn't want it any other way. We compliment each other perfectly. He is so organized and task oriented, I take time to enjoy life and help him to see the beauty in everything. I visualize great things and he gets them done. When I am tired and overwhelmed, he steps in. When he is frustrated about something, I am his greatest cheerleader. I have so much faith in him and trust him completley. I really believe that the world is losing the importance of marriage and family. I think the greatest gift we will leave with our children will be the deep love we have for each other and the idea that we can be a forever family. It's all so cheesy, I know, but its all so true.

Disneyland

SO, over UEA this last October we pulled the kids out of school a day early and suprised them with a trip to Disneyland. I can't even tell you how much fun we had. The drive was so good we decided not to stop in Vegas and drive straight through.

After hearing Pres. Monson's October conference talk and the story in it about a dad who put off going in to work for an emergency and opted to take his children to the circus instead, saying "chilhood only happens once", we felt pretty good about our decison to go.

We are going to do it more often. There were so many little moments shared and new experiences that we all went through together, even though we had been there many times before.

Adam and I are trying so hard to cherish every moment with these children. After we put them to bed each night we often wonder about how we could have such amazing kids. I don't want the moments to go away. I hope in heaven we will be able to remember every touch, kiss, hug, laughter and funny thing that was said.

June with the Johnson's

Finally, it's warm!!! June was a busy month for us so here goes.

Isaac recieved his "Arrow of Light" award. We are pretty proud of him. It's the only patch from the cubscout uniform that we get to put on the boyscout uniform. What a man!!!

Lucy had another dance recital. No matter what happens, she'll never let you see her smile. She just puffs her cheeks out like her mouth is full of marshmellows. She doesn't want anyone to know that she is actually enjoying herself.

Danny is eating vegetables now. He sits in his little chair and pretends to be a big boy. He is laughing, smiling and cooing. What a blessing!!!

I feel so bad that I don't have a June picture of Jonah all by himself. What kind of mother am I?
I decided to put in a picture of Jonah at the beach. The picture is actually from last year when we were in Newport. Jonah had the time of his life on the beach and at Disneyland, so I decided that I could cheat a little and use this cute picture.

We just can't wait to see what July has in store for our little family.

Isaac Jarrard

More and more, We find ourselves totally amazed at what a great kid Isaac is.

We are so proud of him. He is so responsible and kind. He takes such great care of his brothers and sister and especially his dog Sadie.

He is really fun and loves to hang out with his friends. But if you ask him he would tell you that his best friend is his dad., his dad feels the same way.

He just started piano lessons and is really good at it, secretly I think he likes it, too.

He will be in 6th grade in August, then it is off to middle school, YIKES.

Jonah Jack

What can we say, Jonah is a rockstar!

He is so much fun and says the craziest things. He is always making us laugh.

He is almost done with kindergarten. We can't believe he'll be in first grade, it make us kinda sad. We love having him around and can't imagine him gone all day.

He loves his scooter, but recently learned to ride his bike without training wheels, GO JONAH!!
We went to Lagoon recently and he said he couldn't wait, because it was going to be the best day of his life. He was right, he went longer than all the other kids. He went on wicked and said "that was totally awesome".

Jonah loves everyone, and everyone loves Jonah.
